Storing data on nostr relays is interesting. In general nip formats you can store data in any relay. Encrypted with nip-44 you can store on many relays. But the catch: if it is not your relay, then expect - that your delete requests are ignored - that you are monitored by the relay, or profiled - that anyone can get your data even if the relay says it authenticates If you dont control the relay, you cannot make sure it adheres to protocol requirements. Of course you can move to other relays, but make sure that you are fine with you can lose if the relay "betrays" you. Shitstorm protocols to have are good! #nostr #grownostr

👹 Evil Plan Adding nostr to my "gut health increase" project, where we will compete on eating the most diverse vegetables and fruits every week. Firstly I make this only for family, so I reused some login code from before But, I could add nostr login to it, and store everything on nostr. Then I can have it as a completely client app. Would be cool. Also this way my family would have nostr identities and could be easier to demonstrate the coolness of nostr. My only concern was encryption so far. The built out nips for encryption do not seem good enough. I guess this is a great way to go. Build apps using nostr auth, and then show people other cool usages without the problem of explaining the basic stuff again. #nostr #grownostr
