The more I think about nsec/privatekey security, the more I bend towards: - keyrotation and - delegation So an ideal scenario is: - You would have an offline keystorage. Can be an old phone with a secure enclave/trusted execution environment/secure element, that you wipe, and put in offline mode forever. - This would store your "master" key. - Then you create a delegated key for your current phone. (also in secure enclave) - Authorize this key with your other key. - Then you use your phone for signing is usual. The rotation can come in, by enabling delegated keys for a certain time only, then you create a new one. Rip this idea off please. #asknostr #nostr
Yesterday, I wild-coded a nostr clipboard react native app. Then I wanted to cross-compile it to android, windows, and linux. I thought I start with Windows to run it natively, so it can access the clipboard real time. It was a total failure. So I made a dummy app first, to test cross-compilation of react native apps. To make sure, that it works with a vanilla page. Fast forward today, I managed to build it on windows. So tomorrow is linux, android time, then adding the clipboard code. Lets see. But today also came to my mind, do you really want share all clipboard data over all your devices? I mean, its encrypted but still. The best protection is "only local". Anyone using shared clipboards? I kind of like the idea of nostr as a global identity, then you can share everything across devices and even between apps within devices. Also started to think about if remote signing/noauth, can be upgraded. Cheers! ๐Ÿค™ #nostr
#asknostr Why is Amethyst using also the recommended relays (not only selected ones) on phone A with app from F-Droid, and using only the selected relays on phone B with app from playstore/aurora? The relay list is the same though, just one app uses the recommended relays, the other dont. @Vitor Pamplona
#nextcloud #asknostr What app do you use to sync images to nextcloud from your phone? So far I found no tools capable of correctly syncing for me.
