I can NOT get my #Bitaxe to update firmware.
I've tried using the web installer (stuck on "preparing to flash")
I tried CLI (md5sum does not match flash)
And I tried the direct interface over local network (stuck at "working...")
I got release 2.5.1 from the GitHub repo, changed permissions to exectuable for the file, opened ports for the web installer, and probably other things I'm forgetting.
Help!

Your comfort is your enslavement.
Policy proposal:
Make an Orange Card for immigration and charge 25 #bitcoin.
- Discounted immigration from the Gold Card
- Vets automatically for multiple metrics
- No-cost stacking to SBR
Half a decade later:
If there were no internet or television in 2020, I genuinely wouldn't have guessed there was a "global pandemic" going on.
Very revealing
I know the white pill, black pill, orange pill, etc.
What pill is it when you're #allin on #Bitcoin but #bearish on the likelihood of actually seeing the change you hear about on all these pods?
Your money is stolen to pay for the roads
More money is stolen when you buy a vehicle
Then you have to formally ask permission and pay a fee
And finally you have the freedom of operating private equipment on property you paid for
I was discussing marriage and life, how to find a good partner, etc. with my divorced boss the other day, and he said, "I just wish somebody would write a book about all this stuff..."
I chuckled and said, "There is a book for all this... it's actually the best-selling book in history: the Bible."
He immediately shut that down and started giving me crap about it, talking over any sort of thoughtful response I attempted to offer.
"For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen." (Rom 1:25)

I think it's hilarious when people complain about their 9-5 being too much...
Dude try working 60 hours per week for a couple years; 8-hr shifts will feel like you're getting away with a crime.
I often think about a conversation I had with someone a couple years ago, trying to convince him to pull his retirement account out of the market and put it into #bitcoin when the price was ~$17k...
He'd be up 5x right now.
When in doubt, zoom out.
Disappointed? No, because I don't trust him.
Applaud him when he does good thing, and chastise him when he does bad thing.
Seizing #bitcoin from exchanges? Bad thing.
Not returning those coins to their rightful owner? Also bad thing.
The fact that we went from "only for money laundering and drug dealers" to "strategic reserve" in one cycle? Good thing.
We are winning the war overall. Yes, some battles are lost, but as they say: when in doubt, zoom out.
Anybody know of any docs who do P2P "Teledoc" visits for D3/K2 scripts? I want to use HSA funds for our supplements, but apparently you need a prescription for that.

If you can watch the music video for "Dirt" by Florida Georgia Line and not feel something, you need help.
I've noticed that I'm far more excited about getting sheep/chickens/etc at the #homestead than the price of #bitcoin...
Price action is still interesting, but man, have you pet a horse lately?
It appears the DuckDuckGo browser has a native #AI feature that operates - supposedly - the exact same way #VeniceAI does:
Stores chats locally in your browser
Anonymizes your queries before sending it off to other LLM servers
Is there a difference between DDG's AI and Venice?

Sometimes when I walk the land, I look around at everything God has entrusted us with and dream of what we can make of it.
Living off grid isn't easier than the city.
It's not necessarily cheaper, more convenient, or "fun" either.
But my experience of it so far is it's living more in reality.
Cold? It's your fault. Hot, hungry, wet, no power? Still your fault.
Living off grid requires something of you. Things don't just "work," unless you yourself built it that way.
I like that.

Tax when I invest
Tax when I sell
Tax when I buy
Tax when I barter

Even if #Bitcoin doesn't increase my position, it will at least let me and my progeny keep that which I've acquired.
"Aren't you scared of the volatility?"
"Yeah I hate the 5% raise I've gotten since my paycheck hit this morning."
Anybody have insight into opsec compromises regarding metadata attached to pictures uploaded to #nostr, using - I suppose - the #primal server?
Compromises such as geotagging, OS, etc.

As we near death, nobody - including ourselves - will give a damn about the promotion we got, the position we held, the colleagues we made, or the memories made by the water cooler.
Nobody fondly replays work memories and wishes for the chance to go back and relive a day at the #fiat mine.
What people do reminisce about is their family, their memories made with loved ones, the weekend getaways and family vacations...
These are the things that fill us with true joy and bring honor to God.
Stop living for your BS fiat ambitions and start doing the things Old You will wish he would have done.
Got more #chickens today to replace some that fell victim to predation and record-cold temperatures...
Tractor supply had just gotten a shipment today, and they were already selling out. Stores all around me have been constantly sold out lately.
While frustrating, it is also super #encouraging to see Americans taking their sovereignty and food security into their own hands in the face of the culling and egg shortages.
I walked out with a dozen chicks and an unexpected sense of #optimism.
GM losers
If you're already #allin like me, you may be wishing you had capital to deploy in this #bitcoin dip.
Sucks to suck
I do have a tip, though:
Schedule your bills to be withdrawn from @strike on the same day as your paycheck, and this helps nearly eliminate the spread between sats you accrue and sats you spend.
