It's amazing how much efficiency is lost when your condenser fan isn't at 100%. Our AC compressor was bogging down and quitting, so I disassembled it and saw that the blades on the fan were gone somehow. After replacing the fan, the new fan is moving far more air than before, and the unit is drawing less power as well. #offgrid #homestead #diy

With every passing week, there is a gradually increasing feeling of entering the #matrix when I drive into the city for "work." Both my fiat job and my responsibilities on the homestead are called "work," but they are in no way comparable. Weekends feel like real life: waking up naturally, doing chores that have direct and tangible impacts on us, spending time with family and friends... all #anarchy, and all wholesome. During the week, I must turn on the slavish part of me to go to a fake job to deal with fake people to sell fake crap for fake money, just to fund my real life. Sad. Feeling very ecclesiastic today.
