Since @Block Open Source made a Windows version of Goose, I decided to try it this week. Super simple: 1. Download 2. Unzip 3. Launch the exe file Setting up the LLM provider was easy, too. I used Venice AI API, for which I had a $10 credit I had never used. Then launch the platform. And it just works. I could select different models, at different prices. I tried the sample prompt "what can you do" and it listed over 100 stuff... Most of them didn't make sense as a non dev. But useful, I'm sure. It cost like $0.07. I tried to make a simple static website with several pages, but I didn't expect the result I got. It seems it was a command to paste in the terminal... It didn't actually create the files in the folder I had selected. It cost $0.02. Not sure if I'll keep using it for my needs. But looked nice.

I've been using WordPress on my site, and the only feature of one of my plugins to fetch the Bitcoin price became premium 😬 So, I vibe-coded a script to fetch the price from Coin Gecko, and deleted the plugin in question 🤷‍♂️ And I also implemented a BTC to USD convertor as a result! Shoutout to @Hodl Hodl I had to sell #bitcoin for the first time in years. And their P2P service was great. I sent bitcoin to the escrow, and could withdraw cash at the ATM. I only used an email to sign up. No bank account involved, no KYC. When I got the cash, I released the bitcoin from the escrow. Done. The only bad thing was the rate. I lost about $100 on the transaction compared to the exchange rate. I didn't like seeing my stack decrease. But it was for the family, and my son. And I felt sovereign doing this! Now, I need to replace these sats...
