It’s the season for killing sacred cows in bitcoin land. Here’s a big one. You can’t force a circular economy or a medium of exchange before it’s time. It will happen when it happens. And it will happen, eventually.

You should be suspicious of people who want to be in a position of leadership. Leadership should happen naturally as a result of group nomination and reluctant acceptance. There are many people who believe being in charge is about exerting your will on others. When in reality leadership is a burden of carrying and balancing everyone else’s desires in an effort to make everyone under your stewardship content. If you ever meet a person pining for power thinking he or she should be in charge, that person will be actively harmful in any leadership role you or the group may be dumb enough to put them in. Good leaders are competent and capable and they are selected on that basis. Not because they want to be chief bossy person in charge. That’s just some petty tyrant. Know the difference.

Contrary to popular belief marriage is awesome and very satisfying and fulfilling. If your algo or surroundings are convincing you otherwise just know that there are very happy couples out there and they are living amazing lives together. They don’t often talk about it as loudly as those who are miserable though because they know it’s rare and needs to be protected from the envious eyes of the world. But if you look you will start to see it everywhere. Most women are not dumb sluts and most men are not cheating assholes. There’s a lot of really good people out there. You can find yours if you’re willing to look and put in the effort it takes to sustain a life with someone who wants the same things as you.
