I’m convinced that 95% of all “new” music is just people listening to old music and magically coming up with the same tunes that they attributed to their own creativity. So many times I listen to a super old song and hear what went into the “new” song everyone is listening to. I get that there’s a process for repurposing music but I bet a lot of it is just stuck from being exposed to classics.
