I’ve emailed several Bitcoin projects about potential vulnerabilities as found by clanker, and none have responded. Maybe it’s understandable that you’d disregard what a clanker finds, but at the very least a simple reply is surely not that difficult to compose? “Thanks we’ll look into it” wtf yo… Is this industry serious or all clowns??

It sounds like it was human error. I don’t get it, doesn’t coinkite routinely get independent security audits? Why was this not caught? I would imagine a sensitive project like this would have nonstop independent audits??? Humans will always make errors and new models will uncover (and introduce) new attack vectors. Isn’t this what audits are for? I almost feel as bad for the guy who made this mistake as the people who lost their funds. Imagine wearing the burden of knowing what your one mistake resulted in …

Anecdotal but I see far fewer birds this summer (in Japan). Clanker seems to confirm decline of common birds - pigeons, sparrows. Seems to line up with my personal observations.
