Forever learning about Bitcoin. Leading financial freedom content at HRF.
#Bitcoin + #nostr = the demilitarized zone.
Normally I like to be the one that asks the questions… but today, the roles reverse.
Here’s Bitcoin Dada asking me about my #Bitcoin journey, why I’m passionate about the intersection of #humanrights and #financialfreedom, funny/unusual stories in the space, advice for women in the space, and a whole lot more.
Am I nervous this is out in the wild? Yes. Yes, I am. 😅😅
The real cathedral is in every #plebs heart.
🧡💜
To me, the heroes of #bitcoin aren't the macro analysts, investors, politicians, or influencers.
It's the people living in the margin adopting bitcoin, securing their newfound freedoms, & rebuilding their communities.
That silent transformation is the work of heroes.
About to go for a 10km run… but not before eating a big meal, smoothie, and cookie. 😅
(Don’t worry, not right before the run.)
“The United States did not bring Hawai'i out of poverty. It did not bring Hawai'i into enlightenment. If anything, it crushed one of the most amazing, progressive places and indigenous-led Nations on the planet.” -- Kamanamaikalani Beamer, PhD University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa

I suspect I may have been shadow-banned on Twitter/X, so dear #nostriches, you get my stories on #bitcoin’s impact on humanity here ✍️
If I have not been shadow-banned, then I have been pushed to the edges of Twittersphere. Or Xsphere.
Basically talking to myself. Sad times.
Hyperinflation is cruel. The way it can penetrate the human being — from loss of financial wealth, to loss of health, and mental well-being — is unimaginable. It can cause depression, suicide, and the decline of culture and society. In so many ways, it’s a crime against humanity.
This is why we need sound money like #bitcoin. And why you should get at least some. To protect yourself, your culture, and society.
Read Andres story and learn about hyperinflation here:

Andrés León: On Surviving in Venezuela & Seeking Asylum in the United States
“God, what did I do wrong?"

Rarely does #Bitcoin 's humanitarian side get told, which is something I’m passionate about highlighting in The Misfit newsletter.

“We came out to tell this little Macron from France that Niger belongs to us. It is up to us to do what we want with Niger, we deal with who we want,” Maman Sani, a pro-coup protester

The Complicated History Between France & Its Former Colonies, Like Niger.
"Since childhood, I've been opposed to France.”
Google Photos just reminded me of this hike I did in the summer 2021, which looks more like a winter hike.
43 km hike through heat, rain, snow and hail, turquoise lakes, waterfalls, and glaciers🏔️it’s true that the mountains have their own ecosystems.
Although it was hard (like the photo shows lol) it was also exhilarating — that’s the reward of proof-of-work. Hard, but rewarding.

Ketakandriana’s name means “little princess” in the Malagasy language (the national language of Madagascar) — although she resembles more a warrior than a princess.
She's fighting against the wildlife trafficking of turtles from Madagascar to China, the exploitation of lychee (a fruit), and the #corruption of money in her beloved Madagascar.
Here's her story, #plebs:

What We Can Learn About Corruption From A Malagasy Anticorruption Activist.
“All of this [corruption] happens in total impunity because our judiciary system is not independent.” – Ketakandriana Rafitoson
Attended today’s noderunners meetup (thanks a million @leo for the invite!).
So cool to pay with #lightning— “IT WORKS!!” 🤩😂 #bitcoin #pleblife

When I go grocery shopping I ask for a box instead of plastic bags. It’s a win-win.
Less plastic for me (and the planet) and they get rid of their boxes. Except, wish they didn’t have plastic for the lettuce 😣
