There is this odd silence that comes with allowing the music to happen instead of controlling it.
This was my state. Free of the thoughts of notes, free of any thought altogether, simply letting the sound pass through me rather than come from me.
Each chord that sounded seemed to dissolve something within. Something that wasn’t necessarily fixed but slowly melted away on its own accord.
Playing was no longer the act of creating music; it was the act of remembering how to be calm.
And there were a few minutes of simple clarity where everything else just made sense and nothing else was necessary at that very moment.
