Reading The Mandibles is terrifying. A bit hyperbolic, true. But man this stuff doesn’t seem so far fetched anymore. I think the fed would monetize the debt before the US government declared an outright default, but scary to consider nonetheless.
Massive things are happening with nostr. All of the shitposting and games are a wildly fun way to prove out the concept and increase adoption, but this protocol will soon become absolutely vital to our ability to communicate and exchange value freely in a censorship-resistant way. Since discovering Bitcoin I’ve become a quality maximalist, helped along by Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Learning how to properly identify and maintain high quality items, like leather boots and dress shoes has deepened my relationship to my limited possessions, while helping me avoid making impulsive purchases on throwaway fiat goods. I really do believe the growth of our landfills is correlated with the speed of the money printer.
What is better, less or more relays? Since cleaning mine up I’ve noticed way fewer invoices and spam notes. Are there general best practices? Will zap all replies! ⚡️⚡️
