I actually posted this on BCH Global but I'd share it here too and add a little more to the story. 😆 Please bear with me as I'm not the best storyteller. I got into crypto back in 2021 through Noise.cash. At the time, I knew almost nothing about cryptocurrency. The only one I had really heard of was Bitcoin (BTC), and whenever I looked it up, the transaction fees seemed expensive. So when I started earning BCH, I wasn't even sure if I could convert it into cash, and I worried the fees might end up costing more than what I was sending. After earning a small amount of BCH on Noise.cash, I decided to send it to an exchange just to see what would happen. I was surprised when it arrived so quickly and the fee was almost nothing. That was the moment I started paying more attention to BCH. Later on, I discovered SmartBCH and started exploring. My first token was CATS from a random airdrop. After that, I tried different projects, bought and minted a few NFTs, and just enjoyed learning along the way. I collected NFTs like LawPunks, Ninjas, Reapers, Gambling Apes, and a few others. Of course, I also experienced a few rug pulls, pretty normal in crypto. 🫣 I explored other chains too, like Dogechain, Base, and Polygon, but I was most active on SmartBCH. Along the way, I also tried trading on Binance and a few other exchanges. I wouldn't call myself a trader though. 😅 I just know the basics and can get by, but I'm far from being an expert. When SmartBCH slowly became less active, I moved over to CashTokens. My first CashToken NFT was BCH Gurus,hmm Tokens? I think Lollipop(minted it) and I still hold some CashTokens today. What I like most about BCH is how fast it is and how low the fees are. I actually use it in real life too. Sometimes I buy mobile load through Paytaca, and I really like the idea of buy, spend, and replace instead of just holding. I'm still a newbie compared to many people here, and I know there's still a lot for me to learn. But it's been a fun journey so far, and I'm looking forward to exploring even more of what the BCH ecosystem has to offer. As for how I found BCHNostr, someone invited me to join, I honestly can't remember if it was John or someone else. 😅 At first, I only posted occasionally because work kept me busy. Then one day I suddenly couldn't access BCHNostr anymore, probably because the link had changed. Luckily, John sent me the updated link and told me to try opening it. Started the morning with a quick walk before getting ready for our department outing today. Sometimes, all you need is a short escape from the daily grind. We've all been busy lately, so it's nice to take a break, enjoy some good food, and spend time with the team outside the office. The photos are already coming in, and wow... the food looks great. But what caught my attention was the amount of alcohol. 😂 It looks less like a company outing and more like an audition for "Who Can Still Function Tomorrow?" Anyway, let's see how this goes.
