It's a bit alarming to me the posts I stumble across on Nostr with folks mentioning they are giving themselves a "trial" period, or detox-type session away from Twitter. Social media really has it's hooks in people now. Hmmm π€

Learning more CSS today.
Enjoying it quite a bit.
Small, steady steps in my journey.

Not that it's even remotely surprising, but Google Play out here just casually reminding users they're always being surveiled and you "can" opt-out. If you don't want those COOL INDIVIDUALIZATION of your apps. ...What does that even mean?!

Self-Serve stand of veggies is up! Shame that much will go to waste - this area makes it supremely tough on anyone looking to farm / have a small business.
Hopefully a few people will appreciate fresh vegetables. πβοΈ

Colorful charts and economic theories are cool and all - but I just buy it, hodl it, and carry on. ππ€
Truly can't wait for winter on the farm - my fav season tbh. Lots of wood splitting, hikes on the property (without the unintended hitchhiking insects), and that deafening quiet of the environment as a whole - love nature when she can make you feel as small as you truly are. βοΈπ
Think I can safely say that teaching myself programming / coding is the first time I have felt engaged and excited about challenging myself in YEARS.
It may just be HTML and CSS, but to start and grow is what I'm looking for. πͺ
Another scorcher in the rust belt - the only thing about summer I tend to dislike in this weather is when the fields and property on the farm are (over)grown - it limits the ability to get out and get the walks in that I'd like to.
That being said, being home now has afforded me the luxury of workouts again and I am truly a sucker for my cardio.
Water rowing to be more specific. Just had a good Castles session and feel great. πͺ
Have quietly been learning more and more regarding bitcoin mining this year.
Far more interesting topic to dive into than I ever would have anticipated prior.

My annual trip around the sun has completed.
More satoshis stacked.
However my world is still a bit wrought with anxiety.
Work to be done... π§π€
Finally. The day has arrived!
#FutureBit Apollo II bitcoin miner has arrived and is hashing already!
Far easier setup and go than I could have anticipated.
I am beyond happy to be supporting the network and doing my part to compete on a solo level.
Thank you to John Stefanopolous and the team at FutureBit - happy to support the work you all do and to further my own knowledge and experience.
Onward and upward. π«‘

Took a lot of time this weekend to rest, but also was able to work with the flowers in our greenhouse as well. Looking good so far I think! #Gardening #Farm

The biggest thing bitcoin has given me is a renwed hope in something as concrete and sure as the Earth. When I feel something, so steady, so sound - I cannot help but feel a great weight lifted off of my soul. The drops in a bucket discussions regarding privacy, future development, court rulings etc., though important and worth educating oneself - are merely rocks in the path to be ridden around, moved, or avoided. I have found truly immesurable value in what bitcoin has provided me - the peace of mind that comes from having a foundation that will allow me to live my life bindless.
A limitless vortex of positivity, rather than a seemingly constant pit of despair that drags others under.
In helping myself I will better aid others.

Streaming would be a true freedom move for me. I enjoy the social aspect very much, and find conversing with others while strategizing gameplay / other activities very mentally stimulating. It's been a fun fit for me on the few occasions I find myself with time to do it. π€π
I've been eerily creeping about - just not posting - I BELIEVE my self-hosted Mutiny Wallet is now connected. Honestly it's a bit of a crap shoot though, not always the best at navigating Lightning as much as I'd like to be. πββοΈ
I'm very curious what methods would be worthwhile to run / utilize to aid in ways that help the #bitcoin network via robustness / privacy / etc. I'm a huge fan of Jam / (the basics) / running a Tor-connected node / even mining privately.
Just interested to see what other suggestions there are out there that I'm unaware / inexperienced with. Interested in Lightning Node setup / usage but hear more negatives than positives at this time. π€
Taking a bit of time this evening to just write. No bullet-points, no lists, no spreadsheets. Just a table, my Rocketbook notebook, and a good pen. Let the ideas run until the tank is dry. Will be looking to update my self-hosted Ghost instance to share in the near future. πβοΈπ #Creativity
We have some power company reps coming to visit our farm tomorrow. Interested to see what they offer up / have to say about future possibilities here - not sure anything will come of it, but I like that we are open to any potential opportunities. Maybe having multiple bitcoin miners here in the not-so-distant future will become a thing. Time will tell. π€·β‘οΈπ
I hope to see Nostr become more widely adopted. It's amazing to see tech like this evolve, but I do have personal fears of it being a bitcoin echo chamber. We need the regular joes here, the day to day conversations - it is an interesting thought of what bitcoin and the evolvong world may play a hand in folks showing up / not. I suppose we'll see. π
