What can or should be done about these failures to post to relays? I assume I wrote something that broke a rule, but I have no way to find out. I tried to find some kind of list of policies or rules or something for each relay but wasn't able to find anything useful. Unless I missed it, they don't have actual websites with stuff like that listed. Just wondering if anyone has advice. How would you find out what policy you violated or why you were blocked? Is it even worth worrying about, or should you just add more relays to your publish list and move on? #asknostr

After getting used to it, I typically use the noStrudel client as my go-to... one thing I've noticed about it that's different from the other more "Twitter-esque" clients like Primal, Snort, etc. is that there's a like AND a dislike button, instead of just heart/like. Does anyone know if this dislike/downvote button actually gets reflected on other clients in some way if you use it? It made me realize that one highly underrated thing Nostr provides that has been forcibly taken from us on every other social media platform is the ability to express disagreement or dissent in a way that can't be manipulated or hidden. You can comment, but they can block/filter/delete that too. Maybe the closest thing that still exists is Reddit, but I know there's vote manipulation algorithms they run, so I'm not sure of the degree of honesty. Interested to hear some other perspectives on this. I feel like downvote functionality is just as important as upvote for true, honest, healthy communication, but I'm not sure if I'm an outlier in that view.

Tonight I went down a rabbit hole that started with understanding the validation process of the blockchain and ended up with learning what rainbow table attacks on known brainwallets are in order to monitor them for incoming transactions and sweep the funds. What a strange sentence to read if there was no context. This shit is cool. 🤯

There's so many important topics in this discussion. I trust Whitney Webb and her investigative journalism. This kind of information about the people who control our data, who control politics, who have ties with every social media platform, the banking system, and all aspects of the media... it really makes me despair to learn these things, because as a normal person with no influence, I don't know what I can do to make any difference in my future. They also talk about how Bitcoin is not free of this influence, which makes perfect sense. The people in power will not relinquish that power without fighting to hold it to the utmost of their ability. They'll do whatever they can to ensure Bitcoin works in their favor like everything else. I highly recommend taking a few hours to listen to this discussion. As with all things, remain questioning and skeptical, don't fall for anyone's narrative without doing your own research.

I had never heard of this Professor Wolff before, but I found this chunk of this interview to be extremely effective at painting a very large scale picture of what is going on in the US and world economy right now.
