Such a great ad by Nike $NKE Stock may be down, but ish like this gives me more faith. Makes me want to buy more, not sell. As for the actual products, I'm happy with my numerous Air Max, Pegasus and Free. Earlier this summer I watched a marathon in the city I live. The running shoe business is a very competitive one. Nike got a head start when they dropped the first Vaporfly. The first shoe with a carbon plate. The carbon plate is used almost like a spring which returns more energy than other alternatives when hitting the ground. At first many people were dismissive by claiming they either don't work or it was a kind of mechanical doping which should be forbidden. Two camps. As time passed and enough data was collected by independent parties it clearly showed carbon plates work. World Athletics also layed down some ground rules that need to be considered for a shoe being a valid to run and break records in. These days every major brand has a carbon plate shoe. Adidas, Hoka, Brooks. You name the brand, they got it, but Nike was first. This is the kind of innovation Nike needs to be doing. Dropping hard ish out of nowhere. Back to the marathon... This is not statistically correct by any means since it was just me eyeballing what the top people were using. I saw a sea of Nike Vaporfly, Alphafly and Pegasus. Total domination by Nike. Followed by Adidas, Asics, Hoka, Brooks, On. My point being, even if the sentiment around Nike stock is ish, people are still buying their products. For better or worse I haven't sold a single share!
Great episode of The Mining Pod with guest Portland HODL with a more technical discussion than most shows. Very much worth a listen if you want to know more about Bitcoin Core, soft forks, MARAs Slipstream and general thoughts on Bitcoin. I learned a bunch of new things.
"The House of Arnault" A fairly recent and long article on one of the richest people in the world, Bernard Arnault, CEO of Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton $LVMH.PA It covers the man, his history, business practices, potential succession and so forth. Even if you're not into any of the brands on the LVMH rooster, I'm not, it's an interesting read. Link to article (paywall)
Viktor Frankl: -“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”
Media in the country I live are reporting on the recent falling price of #Bitcoin with a certain satisfaction. Just wait. They'll learn the hard way. A client of mine is a media outlet. They not interested in paying me in Bitcoin... yet! Made me think of this classic Benny Benassi - Satisfaction
Jay Lumen - Spiritual Rave Feeling tired? This monster has risen more people from the dead than Jesus himself. Maybe I'll finally be able to finish my cable management now.
Yesterday we saw Zuck surfing while drinking beer with "Born in The USA" playing in the background. Today we see META $META up over 3%. Coincidence? Surely yesterday was a signal. More to come I bet. I'll be watching similar signalling from John Donahoe Nike $NKE
Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us Video just dropped. Drake got to be shook at the very least. This isn't going away anytime soon.
Not a real problem #Bitcoin Transactions are still flowing on the network, my nodes are up and running, my Bitaxe is hashing and the weather today is going to be good. image
Got my first Bitaxe Supra - For the culture! Thanks to @Solo Satoshi for being a class act with the order and @skot9000 for making this possible! 🙏 While people are panicking over the drop in price of #Bitcoin I'm having real problems. Need to do some reorganising of my storage space where I have my router, server, Bitcoin nodes etc. Won't work as is. Will write more detailed posts about noise, overclocking, pools and what not later when I've got my second one setup and hashing. image
