In 2018- I was delighted to say told you so to a mate that Bitcoin was a bubble bursting. I got humbled. So I dug in more to find real proof it was just the same as other bubbles and would eventually pop. What I actually found was 5 things prove the complete opposite. Yet I was still slow to believe it 🤦‍♂️ Here’s what I found…

My sister just asked a question which I wasn’t sure how to answer: I’m all for moving away from government power. But surely there will be someone that ends up with the power even with Bitcoin. In 2021 I remember thinking 'Bitcoin uses more energy than Argentina for what exactly?' I thought there were so many issues - the environmental impact, no real use cases, basically just a Ponzi scheme. But that exact question led me down the rabbit hole and what I discovered was the exact opposite of everything my egotistic, naive mind thought. Probably the most surprising thing I found is how Bitcoin is impacting people's lives despite them not owning any or even knowing what Bitcoin is. These specific use cases changed me to full conviction in Bitcoin and led me further down the rabbit hole to realise this is way more than just trying to get rich - this is literally the separation from state and could actually be the difference for the world moving forwards. Special shoutout to @Joe Nakamoto videos (stumbled across his one with off-grid Steve which led to many more), and @Max DeMarco videos showing in-person Bitcoin use in places like Africa, and I'm sure he had videos on travelling the world with bitcoin though I can't find them now. Too many books and podcasts helped me get full conviction but I still think seeing things in video format is the most powerful way to show people the truth about Bitcoin usage. There are more real bitcoin use cases than what I ever thought initially - So I hope this can help at least one other person realise the truth behind Bitcoin.
