Yakihonne Update: Introducing YakiPro, Subscriptions, AI Writing Tools, and a Completely Redesigned Experience.
After three months of intensive building, we're excited to unveil the biggest Yakihonne release ever. This update brings together everything we've been working on since June — a ground-up visual redesign, a professional creator suite, native subscriptions, AI-powered writing and reading tools, and self-hosted key management — all shipping across Web and Mobile.

A Brand New Look: Yakihonne v6.0.0
Yakihonne has been completely redesigned from the ground up with a content-first philosophy. Every screen, component, and interaction has been rethought.
- Glass / Fluid UI — a new translucent visual theme rolled out across the entire app
- Redesigned navigation — cleaner app bar, drawer navigation, and streamlined menus
- Refreshed components — new buttons, spinners, dropdowns, selectors, and hover cards
- Lucide icon migration — moving to a modern, consistent icon set across all views
- Guided onboarding tour — new users are now walked through the app on first launch
- Available on both Web and Mobile
---
Write Smarter: The New Article Editor
The article editor has been rebuilt from scratch to give creators a professional publishing experience. This premium feature is available to all Yakihonne subscribers, and new users can try it entirely free with a 7-day trial!
- Richer editor — more powerful formatting tools, @-mentions, and a completely redesigned publish flow
- AI Writing Assistant — an in-editor AI panel that helps you draft, refine, and improve articles in real time
- AI Change Tracking — review AI-suggested edits before publishing with inline diff views
- PDF & Markdown Import/Export — import existing documents directly into the editor or export your work
- Energy Mapper — visualise the emotional tone of your notes before posting
---
Read Smarter: Second Reader
A brand new AI-powered reading companion.
- Contextual assistance — get summaries, explanations, and deeper insights while reading any article
- Multiple AI personas — choose a reading companion that matches your style, from casual to academic
---
Earn, Subscribe, and Support Creators
YakiHonne now has a full subscription and creator economy built in.
- In-App Purchases — subscribe directly through Apple App Store or Google Play
- Yaki Points — earn and spend points to unlock paid content, redeem awarding codes, or put toward a subscription
- Paid Notes with Points — unlock paid notes by redeeming points instead of Lightning invoices
- Free for Subscribers — Pro subscribers skip paywalls entirely
- Subscription & Usage Page — see your current plan, usage, and remaining allowances at a glance
- Full integration with Stripe for global payments
---
Login with Google: Pomegranate Key Recovery
No more losing your Nostr identity. We've deployed our own Pomegranate FROST remote signer infrastructure.
- Google Sign-In — create or recover a Nostr account using your Google login
- FROST threshold signatures — your private key is sharded across multiple independent operators. No single server can reconstruct it
- Self-hosted infrastructure — auth.yakihonne.com, po.yakihonne.com, and pomadmin.yakihonne.com, all operated by us alongside independent third-party operators
- Key recovery in settings — recover your private key from your linked Google account at any time
---
YakiPro: The Professional Creator Suite
Introducing YakiPro — a dedicated app for creators and publishers who are serious about building on Nostr.
- Dedicated creator interface with its own unique navigation, layout, and theme
- Advanced analytics — engagement stats, follower growth charts, zap tracking, and top-performing content
- Scheduled notes — write now, publish later
- NIP-63 subscriber management — manage your premium subscribers, relay access, pricing, and delegation
- NIP-05 identity settings — manage your verified Nostr identity
- Language & theme settings — customise your workspace
- Available on both Web (v1.0.0) and Mobile (v0.0.1)
---
Why This Update Matters
- Professional publishing on Nostr is here. YakiPro + the rebuilt article editor + AI tools give creators everything they need to publish, monetise, and grow — natively on Nostr
- Subscriptions without middlemen. Native NIP-63 subscriptions, in-app purchases, and a points economy mean creators earn directly from their audience
- Key recovery solves onboarding. Google Sign-In via Pomegranate's FROST threshold signatures means new users can join Nostr without ever worrying about seed phrases or raw private keys
- A design that invites exploration. The glass/fluid UI and content-focused redesign make Yakihonne feel like a premium, modern platform
