Let the horrific incentive structure on X serve as a lesson of what not to do and why zaps on nostr are just a better idea. If you would have told me a few years ago that Twitter would be monetizing “creators” to post nazi, genocidal, authoritarian, rage bait content I would have said that you were actually crazy.

Once I have your attention I start talking about how I believe that parents and caretakers should take personal responsibility and talk to their children about online safety. Please also use the safety tools provided on devices and on social media. Unfortunately, because children are not being taught online safety well in the home the governments are using the very real problem as a Trojan horse to violate digital privacy rights and erode encryption. All to “solve the problem.” This will violate the human rights of all. There are better solutions available. Education and awareness will work towards preventing crimes against children before they happen and end up online in the first place. ♥️ View quoted note →
