The reaction to my March nostr post was truly amazing. Thank you! 🙏🏻 As Ofcom in the UK pushes forward with heavy-handed regulations on tech companies under the guise of child safety, it’s becoming clearer why I was so urgent about sharing this piece. Some form of age verification will have to exist in the UK on X as well as other providers by July 25, 2025.

I forgot to post this yesterday. X allows consensual adult content so they will run into problems in the UK. My guess is that they will either use credit card verification for every user or just plain old ID verification. (Article is paywalled.
