Very cool pull request in bitcoin core: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/30595 And it's merged! It "may be used by external applications for interfacing with Bitcoin Core's validation logic" It also links to a bunch of cool applications that already use it

My latest invention is Aggeus: a protocol for creating permissionless prediction markets on bitcoin. In this video, I outline the protocol, demo my proof of concept, and answer questions from the founder of @predyx_markets https://youtu.be/aRhYxDKdnms

"Batch exits" are underexplored in the effort to scale bitcoin L2s like Lightning and Ark both support "unilateral exits," and you can save space by exiting directly from one L2 into another, but you can save even *more* space by doing that in batches Is anyone working on this?

The idea that feerate estimates are materially downgraded when a node lacks a few dozen spam transactions seems completely ridiculous when you realize that they are barely affected when you don't have a mempool at all

SNAP just became an essential service: https://apnews.com/article/snap-shutdown-lawsuits-deadline-4af8b0dec6cd31cddd023cc99c131b73 On a long enough time horizon, all government services will be deemed essential, and shutdowns won't actually shut anything down. I give other examples in this post: nostr:nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzqgvra9r4sjqapufyl0vnc4kv4fz70e29em4c655y37vz206f0wt4qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfskuep0qqsyxvpcvpjh7y2w3kpfzauv0vnenc2p9wv9hwl62fkxe3dm2pmsh4c4emwlf
