SEATTLE TO JOIN LOS ANGELES (& OTHER CITIES) IN HIRING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FOR POLICE FORCE “Seattle is joining the growing list of left wing cities that have decided to turn to illegal aliens to fill the ever-increasing void in the ranks of their police department, following cities such as Los Angeles. This is due to severe understaffing that has gutted many large city departments in primarily blue cities. … One issue facing DACA recipients becoming police officers is because they are in the country illegally, which means that they are not generally permitted to carry a firearm. However, Biden’s ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) has ruled that “It is ATF’s position that DACA recipients can possess duty firearms and possess ammunition as part of their official law enforcement officer duties,” according to the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF).” https://lawenforcementtoday.com/seattle-police-facing-manpower-shortage-to-hire-illegal-aliens-who-have-daca-status-as-police-officers
Another vid from the age of Music Videos where the Videos had umph:
Kinda bored by Bitcoin, ngl, so revisiting Music Videos that are amazing for the videos:
“Saudi Arabia is selling a 0.64% stake in oil giant Aramco as the kingdom pushes ahead with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's plan to diversify the economy.” Serious question: what investment is worth more than your country’s ownership of the most important resource in the world?
“…what if nearly half of the lithium used in the U.S. could come from Pennsylvania wastewater? A new analysis using compliance data from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection suggests that if it could be extracted with complete efficiency, lithium from the wastewater of Marcellus shale gas wells could supply up to 40% of the country’s demand. Already, researchers in the lab can extract lithium from water with more than 90% efficiency according to Justin Mackey, a researcher at the National Energy Technology Laboratory and PhD student in the lab of Daniel Bain, associate professor of geology and environmental sciences in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. […] There are lithium mining operations in the U.S., but, Mackey said, “This is different. This is a waste stream and we’re looking at a beneficial use of that waste.” Finding lithium in the wastewater in Marcellus shale wasn’t a surprise: Researchers had analyzed the water recycled in hydraulic fracking and knew that it picked up minerals and elements from the shale. “But there hadn’t been enough measurements to quantify the resource,” Mackey said. We just didn’t know how much was in there.””
What we all need to discuss is that SO much of kyc - even Bitcoin-only company kyc - involves outsourcing live-video & audio feeds to third-party organizations that are shadowy beyond shadow. I personally experienced this in early years with Celsius, and it shook me so much I withdrew my sats. 3 weeks before they pulled the rug out from so many people. KYC is a no-go. A line in the sand. Because it never ends.
A not so friendly reminder from Gen X - the last Generation to claim their own name, btw: THIS is the future of Bitcoin. Let this sink in. Do you think you can defeat the Behemoth? Good luck. The Behemoth has existed far, far longer than you, has shaped how you think. Bitcoin is the game-changer, but you don’t even understand the playing field they’ve created. The war isn’t a war. It’s a global mind-game, and memes aren’t stronger than cops with stun-grenades. Segregate your non-kyc. Be prepared to give up your kyc. We’re at war, and we’re not going to win this by without meathead idiots at your house with guns. So prepare for that, prepare for that 10x. It’s going to happen.
“Hold on hold on hold on… Fiat did WHAT again last night?” image
Trying to send sats via Lightning from Blue wallet to Blink (Bitcoin Beach) wallet. It’s not being allowed. I’m in the US, so Blink is not allowed, but I’m using a vpn from Canada. Is it because my Blue Wallet connect to my Lightning node is in the US? Shouldn’t be a factor since it’s Tor, but can’t figure out how I’m being censored.
My most singular Hope right now is not Bitcoin. It’s that the Deep State - or whatever term you might use for it - has become so widespread that it is the new Rome. About to collapse into itself. Not America. The US-based Deep State. There are only so many sociopaths in the world to keep it going. And at this point, most of the honest, naive chumps who comprise these organizations are aware of having been duped by the fiat 3-card Monte shenanigans they’re involved in, and are quietly quitting. The younger generation seems to be pushing back against the propaganda of the Western World. They will get crushed. Sorry for the cynicism. But it’s possible they’ll become the self-same “Gaza” that they were inspired by. The fight against the global criminal deep State is going to be world-wrenching. We will all succumb to grief over the next few years. We will lose Bitcoiners we know and love and didn’t think would get taken from us. I hope I’m wrong, but the tide of History carries us all along. No one is to blame for the past. Yet we must all stand to testify for what happens now. Bitcoiners will be broken on the wheel. That is going to happen. The powers that literally rule the world have been exposed by Bitcoin, and will scorch the Earth to capture Bitcoin. It’s not about stopping Bitcoin anymore, it’s about Capturing it from all of us who’ve Hodled for the last x-many years. They want to frighten us, attack us, criminalize us, and in every way FORCE us to sell our Bitcoin to them. Because they have infinite Fiat to capture our escape-valve…our tiny chance at true Revolution. Training is over. Forget convincing the idiot no-coiners. We’re at full battle readiness right now. Focus on YOUR op-sec, YOUR field tactics and outreach, YOUR inheritance plan. Know that you will receive NOTICES!!! from the fiat shit-lords about how you have to declare your hodlings. You will be shaken to your core, you may even be taken into custody. Get yourself Right with Satoshi. Get your shit into self-custody, not in your bedroom, get your loved ones familiar with how to recover. This is a huge task, we all have faced it, but it’s never been go-time before this time in our lives. As early Bitcoiners advised, Bitcoin was created to bring this war about. The path through this war is to understand and stay true to Bitcoin. I’m only posting this because I believe that soon there will be many, many losses. And then the pants-shitting will begin. The pant-shitting is why troops need Leaders, and why Leaders need Generals. And why every revolutionary movement needs more than just a Plan A…It needs a clear Plan B.
Umbrel had a huge update a couple weeks ago…I needed to re-flash. Thanks so much for your offer of customer service. Genuinely appreciated!!! View quoted note →
Cannot say how much I appreciate this initial, well thought-out response. I think it’s important in these things to remain cognizant, knowledgeable, and also to keep in mind that Fiat money will always incentivize the Obfuscation of things. In other words, systems designed to defend privacy can and will be attacked a million ways to Sunday in ways that “obey the rules”. Every Revolution is a breaking of the chains of enslavement. Literally. Period. End of Sentence. If you consider yourself a Bitcoiner, you’re now at war. There’s no middle-ground anymore. It’s go-time. Shit or get off the pot. Let this sink in if you haven’t already. Samurai wasn’t the straw, it was just another straw. They’re coming for us. All of us. And they know who you are. We need to decide now what our response is. Fight, Freeze, Flight. Those are the choices in matters such as this. View quoted note →
Just feeling the need right now to leave here: In my irl experience, Revolutions don’t happen because your society breaks down into chaos. Revolutions happen because your society comes together in Hope. Revolutions happen, imo, when people discover Hope out of the Hopelessness.
It’s dicey to recommend music, anywhere to anyone, but sometimes you have to, just to be you. All I can say is that I heard this years ago on local community radio, it affected me so much I spent a month tracking it down, now it’s on my playlist forever. Just laying it down here, no explanation. Don’t judge in the first minute, it’s a journey you’ve never been on.
Kind of larking, but I don’t believe younger generations have sufficiently priced in how so many music videos like this have shaped Gen X for the revolt in the coming Revolution:
I can’t tell you how much I appreciated meeting you at the Halving Party! I get inspired by other Artists, I appreciate what you’re creating, I cannot wait for your Sellout years, I’ll support you until you do a Superbowl or World Cup Halftime show sponsored by Cordanoh, then I’ll always swear you were Yoko Ono’d by your soon-to-be future busty bimbo and I’ll absolutely swear that in El Salvador you were coke’d up and waving a gold-plated machine gun and yelling about Meme Factory funding from the IMF and how Greg Zaj had to hold you down and force meds into your throat and then we washed your golden furry locks in the ocean tide under full moonlight…. ok shit, somewhere in there reality morphed into fanfic. Anyway. You’re an amazing human being, my friend. I appreciate you. And you will be recognized in History for your DSB’s. All Meme’rs have a place in our future. But none have demonstrated the Proof of Work of the Pleb like You have! View quoted note →
I encourage all FOSS-forward Bitcoiners to watch this fascinating and always entertaining episode of “The Why Files”, which explains concisely why Satoshi Nakamoto was right to remain anonymous, why Nostr may become a pivotal protocol for our shared Human future, and why Free Open-Source development is the only path to a better future.
I’m headed to El Salvador, but as I’m getting my trip together on down-time I’m reflecting on my fav artist who came in under my radar (as an artist) and completely woo’d me to understand the “Op-Art” movement. He passed away in 2020, but I’ve driven many miles w/i America to see works by Richard Anuszkiewicz. Like all Artists, it’s not a one-off…it’s a body of dimension and acceptance. image
