Losing my mom, among many things made me realise how legacies are passed. I have to clean her home and move all things out. It happens that inside that house there are stuff and furniture and legacy from all branches of my family. From my dad and my mom's clans, there in the house lies the things they collected and passed, after who knows what scrutiny. And there are things that belonged to my great grandparents and so on. It is my task now to refine all those things to a minimum transportable expression. To keep what is meaningful to me and my kids. It is like extracting the very essence of them all and throw away the pulp. And I just want to say that I'm now thinking my work like that. For example these cards I'm drawing. I expect to do many and pass them to my children and if they manage to be in some grandchild's house one day, it means they endured time. And it means ideas are valuable

Well. . Seems like I do have a nice time preference for things like this. I started this violin a bunch of years ago.... I cannot count them, lost memories. But did some tools. Acquired some woods. Made a couple of templates. Got a couple of books here and there... It has been happening. So today, I started to really carve this back... Or at least explore the carving. I am not really sure what I am doing. Then I started to make another little plane that I felt would be better for the job than the one I made like 6 years ago. Sometimes you make a tool that you don't even know how and when or why is it used. And even though you might copy it exactly as you see it, it's defective in details
