After the 'blowout' jobs report today, here's my periodic reminder that full employment statistics were commonplace in the run-up to one of the more famous inflationary episodes in history... the unemployment rate was low and *dropping* from 1920-1922 in Germany.

One of the more fun metrics I've been looking at lately.... US Government Debt-to-GDP ratio multiplied by the US Treasury 10Y yield. This really makes clear the historical dislocation that's underway.

Now that we're back to bouncing around $26k, we need a new worthwhile controversy to pass the time... last time was stainless vs. cast iron. This time it's @Lyn Alden 's new book: hardcover vs. softcover. Which side are you on and why? Ready. Set. Go.
