Capitalism is almost perfect except missing an automatic mechanism to periodically kill the most rich entities and entirely give back to grass. Unhealthy, unproductive, unsustainable without such mechanism.
One of the underlying reasons for life being more and more expensive is because of population growth rate drop. There are less and less people to share responsibility for fueling the previous generation’s retirement and no matter what assets you hold, there will be less and less people to serve your retirement.
Big old greedy trees have to die to make space for a new forest.
