Here's a fact about bees in North America. The original bees here were brought over by European settlers. The bees they kept were nice and very productive. Beekeepers could walk right up to the hive unprotected and maybe get stung once if they were unlucky. Awhile back around the time of the killer bee scare, some asshole tried to experiment with African bees. The African bees were much more violent and aggressive, and of course they escaped. Slowly they started taking over from European bees, including killing queens in European beehives and planting their own queen there. Then beekeepers started getting killed because they were treating the African bees like the docile European bees. Now to be a beekeeper you have to be dressed in a full hazmat looking suit, because African bees kill people. This is all completely true btw, genetically more aggressive bees have ruined European bee societies in North America.
