My mother-in-law came to see the baby and grandkids, so I got a little bit of "me time". Traced down the source of the stain on the basement ceiling. I was afraid it was the toilet in the kids bathroom but thankfully that wasn't it. Day three of spending time with each kid, today was the 9 year old's turn. Made some cookies, fixed her fairy lights, and played Ticket to Ride Nordic Countries. She is my board game wizard but I managed to eke out a two point victory. Her brother decided to test the fire extinguisher while I was fixing the lights. While I'm on paternity leave, I'm trying to spend deliberate one on one time with each of my older kids. This morning was fort building with my 4 year old.
