Good Morning,
If we replace the popular songs and slogans with the word of God we have a real foundation that bears witness down to the very consonants and vowels of the words we use. It's not by accident that word was at the beginning.

Matthew 4:3-4
Mat 4:3-4 KJV “And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God...”

Psalm 27 7-14
Psa 27:7-14 KJV “Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
8. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
9. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
10. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
11. Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
12. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
13. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”

Saul who persecuted Christians and later would become Paul as a champion of Christ said,
Ephesians 3:17-19
Eph 3:17-19 KJV “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18. May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19. And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”

Psalm 24
Psa 24 KJV “The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
3. Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4. He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
7. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
9. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
10. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.”

When I was young memorizing verses of the Bible was important for two reasons.
1. We take the word of God with us wherever we go.
2. We can share the word of God specifically pointing to a source so that others might investigate further.
Here is the 23rd Psalm which is one of the most popular memorized scriptures of the Bible for it's brevity and comforting message.
---
Psalm 23
Psa 23 KJV “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”

We are not charismatic. We are not special and wise. We are full of evil and sin. We are also not just these corporal bodies. We are spirits within. We are a cultivated lot. We are the caretakers and we are the seed and the fruit.
We are in this world a sorting and sorted people. We are creation being made into what is good and what is no good. We are God's children and we are loved but in our selfishness we choose not to be. We have free will. We go accordingly to where our free will leads us, against or for our Father.

Here are the words of John The Baptist:
Matthew 3:9-10
Mat 3:9-10 KJV “And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
10. And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.”
