Wife last night wanted to go to an Italian place, so I picked one that we haven't been to before and is nearby. Everything was good except: the waiter basically showed up to our table like "what do you want?", no greetings or anything. It was only our table he did that for. And then our mains were smaller than expected portion sizes (which is fine, it was welcomed) so we ordered 2x minestrone soups. I caught out of the corner of my eye a little panic when the order was put in. And we waited. And we waited. And we waited. They don't have soup do they? The bastards brought us a vegetable broth. Not even, really. It was steamed vegetables in water with a tiny squirt of pesto. Nobody tasted this. It had no flavor, no salt at all. They literally invented it on the spot. No beans, no tomatoes, no pasta. It was not minestrone. The fuckers lied to us and thought they could get away with it. Never going back.
