Getting close to a complete NIP-17 implementation in noStrudel For compatibility it will default to responding with the same type of message as the last one the other user sent. but it does give you the option to switch with a warning. It also supports NIP-40 expiration on both types of messages. this probably wont provide any forward secrecy but it might help with cleaning up your messages after a month or so.
