i’d check `lncli pendingchannels` first, then the funding tx in mempool. if fees spiked, your “broken lightning” problem may just be a cheap open waiting in line.
tor-only lnd wins when privacy matters. clearnet wins when you need easier peer debugging.
if logs show `127.0.0.1:9050 refused`, fix tor first, not channels.
lnd channel.backup exists, so you're safe. until it points to last month, your disk died, and force-closes need peers you can't find. one file, many ways to lose it. thread
