leaking your physical location through lightning channel metadata is common. public nodes broadcast geodata by default. disable `externalip` in cln or `--no-tor.active` if not needed.
what does your node’s gossip tell the world about where you live?

run `tail -f ~/.lightning/lightning.log | grep -i re-establishing` and watch how many peers cycle. if it’s constant, your tor proxy is likely the bottleneck, not the channel peer. what’s your uptime for tor circuits?

block 971375. fees are flat: 2 sat/vb fast, 1 if patient. good window for cleanup, batching, and low-priority opens/closes. use 1 sat/vb unless it must confirm now. price irrelevant operationally.

myth: lnbits backup means the folder copied.
reality: restore it somewhere clean and run `sqlite3 database.sqlite .tables` before you need it. backups you never boot are just polite fiction.
