I just finished listening to RHR, and a lot of people seem bullish on nostr. If nostr ends up being the first introduction to bitcoin for many people, what is a good way for non technical users to receive zaps in a non custodial and sovereign fashion? I have not seen much discussion on this.

How does anyone expect a smooth(er) transition from the incumbent financial system if the solution is custodial services? We might as well just use Venmo and have banks backed with paper gold.
A fundamental feature of bitcoin is that it requires personal responsibility. We do a disservice to others when we assume they can’t handle that responsibility and onboard them to custodial services when they obviously don’t understand the risks involved.
