Just had a rather interesting read from two column writers from the ECB about #bitcoin. Besides kicking an enemy (bitcoin vs. CBDC) down at their lowest moment (peak bear market nov. 2022), they basically end the column with stating that "this inefficiency of the system is not a flaw but a feature. It is one of the peculiarities to guarantee the integrity of the completely decentralised system". I do think bitcoin needs to be as sustainable as possible, but this column really shows that the ECB obviously HATES decentralisation or is willing to see the positive side of bitcoin. They intentionally don't talk about Lightning for example. This column is another proof that KYC is dangerous and people should resist CBDC and anti-cash measures at alle cost. Centralized digital currency tight to your ID = slavery.
