The dream team | Running bitcoin for Hal at @The Bitcoin Conference
Thank you to everyone who made this event happen and to those who got up early and laced up their ASICS this morning 🙏
Join us and donate to the Hal Finney ALS Research Fund
We're expecting a new ATH turnout for tomorrow's #RunForHal!
Conditions are looking perfect. Bring a friend, even if they’re non-runners, because we're excited to confirm there'll also be a walk led by the wonderful @Babeswhobitcoin 🥳
Stay humble and see you nice and early.
We're blown away by the response to this year's #RunForHal at @The Bitcoin Conference in Vegas. It will be an honor to run bitcoin with each of you in Hal's memory. Just two sleeps. See you soon in Vegas.
The #RunForHal World Tour tee for this year is here and it’s our best yet. Pick yours up in Vegas at the @The Bitcoin Conference run, or get ahead of the pack. Preorders are open now:
Huge shoutout to Ben for representing Bitcoin Runners at the ☘️ Shamrock Shuffle ☘️ in Chicago on Sunday!
Not only did he fly the flag for freedom tech, he also stacked a new Personal Record in the 2 mile and ran his second fastest 1km.
Hard miles, hard money! That's Proof of Work⚡🧡
Thanks to the awesome @ATOMIC⚡️BITCOIN for sharing this! Our bitcoin brothers and sisters at Citadel Runners ran 10km while flying the flag for Bitcoin Runners in South Korea 🇰🇷
Transaction: “The Citadel Runners ran carrying a @BitcoinRunners banner. They safely completed the 10km race. The Bitcoiners’ health promotion project continues.”
On January 12th, 2009, just two days after Hal Finney tweeted “Running bitcoin,” Satoshi Nakamoto sent him 10 BTC in block 170; the first peer-to-peer Bitcoin transaction in history.
Before that, every block was coinbase rewards to miners. This was the moment Bitcoin became money.
Forever on the ledger. Forever in our hearts.
🏃♂️ To honour Hal, join the #RunningBitcoinChallenge and put in the proof-of-work with us.
