For anyone saying that AI is going to get us out of trouble with inflation because it is deflationary, apart from that being complete nonsense, govt departments are not using it, or they are wrapping so much red tape around it that it offsets any benifits it would bring. They are the ones propping up an economy and are going to do it in an inefficient way. Organisations who embrace AI are going to get so much more efficient. The govt services our tax pays for are going to get less and less efficient in comparison. I bet the ATO are using it though.

I was speaking to a friend yesterday who works for a company that builds wind farms. Theiy said their biggest issue was curtailing power and getting connected to the grid. I spoke to them about Bitcoin mining and how it could help. Does anyone have any articles that talk about Bitcoin being a buyer of last resort and how it could help that are not technical or not overly focused on Bitcoin and more focused on the business model and how it is a solution?

Picked up my new toy yesterday. A S19 J Pro. First impressions... It is heavy! Weights about 16kg. Lot more than I expected. It has two power cables. Never had that on anything before. Do I need to plug both in? Anyone got any setup guides or videos on how to use it? My plan is to plug it in, switch it on, hope I don't blow the house electrics up, plug ethernet cable in, see what IP it gets on the network and try and connect to that in a browser. No idea what I am doing.

Looking at getting a miner to play about with at home. I know it isn't going to be profitable, I am doing it more for the education. I looking for a second hand S19. I want to go full miner rather than something like a bitaxe or appolo for a couple of reasons. 1 I have excess solar I want to use rather than giving back to the energy company for nothing. 2 I would love to look into using the heat. Thoughts? Suggestions? I am currently looking at a second hand S19kpro for $700
