Update: My cow “Super” — yes, the kids named him, and yes… we still ate him. (Rule officially broken: don’t name the animals you plan to put in the freezer.) Super is officially in freezer camp, and with that we’ve now successfully raised our own chickens, pigs, and beef. Watching the full circle of hard work, care, and food on the table happen right here at home is a pretty incredible feeling. So now the big question… what should be next?
