Drawing and painting have served me immeasurably since before I could talk any sense. Then I started writing, getting intentionally creative in designing my life, cooking and living with art personified ( @Shawn ) and I never looked back. I drew this portrait 6 years ago and haven’t sat down with pencils for longer than 5 minutes since. Fascinating how art can be such an outlet for the deepest parts of us and how fluidly the particular sorts of art we need can change with us. There is so much to enjoy in life! #artstr

As much as it can easily seem that way, the whole world in not against you. Learn to know when you’re not in the field. Learn to put down your shield, take off your helmet, turn off your fight mode.
