if you bookmark an ebook link, we will store a copy while you enjoy reading the book. you can't share a link to the encrypted file on our blossom server since it is only able to be decrypted by you, but it will be there if you need to download it again.

our podcast archiver is now working better than ever. if you bookmark a link to an mp3 and have our media archiver add on, we will store the mp3 in perpetuity

it would have been much easier to make the service use a traditional database but your web of trust augments the signal of good content

rather than get every post on nostr, our friends feed just gives the bookmarked posts which tend to be evergreen content that people want to review in the future.

we now function as a full android nip55 signer for all your other android #nostr apps. google play is very user hostile with a 14+ day waiting period (requiring closed internal testing phase) for new apps but at least we have @Zapstore to publish onto the android platform

if you just care about the links your friends post without all the other social media commentary, import your #nostr contact list and follow along. you can easily save any of those links to your account.

the beauty of #nostr is the use of relays as open databases linked to a specific application. the social apps store a ton of different note kinds where @Deepmarks.org only stores a few types related to bookmarks. all the databases with public read can be joined together in whatever way a developer desires.
