My wife got scammed out of around 500$. Not a small amount and it's annoying to both of us, but a good entry to bitcoin world. She dipped into btc a while ago and made some decent buys, but she hasn't adopted the mindset. Yet.
Good time to assert "verify, don't trust" ideal.

I read about a bitcoin company a while ago that takes excess energy from energy plants and mines with it. IIRC, it only takes what's not needed to balance the load; sorta like a user of last resort.
