My wife got scammed out of around 500$. Not a small amount and it's annoying to both of us, but a good entry to bitcoin world. She dipped into btc a while ago and made some decent buys, but she hasn't adopted the mindset. Yet. Good time to assert "verify, don't trust" ideal. I'd like to simplify many of these ideals for her. What hashrate would it take for bitcoin network to agree o the maximum difficulty? What does maximum difficulty mean anyway? What happens when the hashrate exceeds such ceiling?

One major way bitcoin changed me is that I don't particularly care about a glorious career anymore. All I want now is to have a balanced life, gain more diverse knowledge, and help others. Career pursuit is just one way to do it, but it will create a massive imbalance elsewhere in life. The downside of this is now I need to redesign my life in a way that makes my 20s and 30s useful, and at the same time not career-centric. A welcome challenge, I guess.
