At this phase of development, the plant looks like an octopus with a pumpkin head or a hairy spider. #plantstr Had two grieving dreams last night, so making a plant post as a kind of therapy.

I was organizing a bookshelf and needed to move the books somewhere else. Picked out these two to slowly read. I first read Mrs. Dalloway, by Virginia Woolf 10 years ago. I remember it was uncomfortable to read. I want to try it again because the description on the back cover makes it sound so good. The only thing I’ve read by John Steinbeck is Of Mice and Men, in highschool. My partner got this book called < On Reading The Grapes of Wrath > by Susan Shillinglaw. I feel a little nervous to read both these books together because they deal with very heavy experiences, like mental illness related to war, suicide, poverty. So far, the grapes of wrath book is much easier to read. #bookstr

one morning, my partner looked up from the iPad and was like, I have a new hobby. (sprouts) I love the package illustration. Front and back. The only way it could be better would be if all the text on the back looked handwritten also. kinda wish everything could have packaging that looks like an illustration. 😍 #plantstr #artstr

finished the one with the bird in flight, or landing. This is when you can really see the bright color which was hidden before. Seeing it at the park, it looked bright orange. But reference photos online show it as red with a yellow streak on top. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m still gonna think of it as the bird with the orange wings even if the name is “red-winged blackbird”
