Apparently computer usage (screen time) is the highest in South Africa and the Philippines, not the high GDP per capita countries as I expected. Perhaps there's a bigger need to escape reality when there's social and economic issues plaguing society.

Searched for Nostr Bolivia, and one of the links was for 200 developers in Bolivia. I thought "no way" and upon clicking found out they were all remote. Half had AI listed as their skill. 😄 I feel more and more out of touch with the trends of San Francisco. I suppose in this niche case, Discord is a better fit. I'll just need to improve my Spanish. Why the interest? It's landlocked, and has the highest over 1M city in the world. Altitude is 3x of Denver iirc.

Just done reading Ray Peat's article on serotonin. Funny how he covered health effects of LSD. I have been suspecting that lock and key receptor theory was bullshit for years, and Peat knew about it decades ago. So many clever guys would recite various studies about monoamine associated enzymes/receptors like VMAT, DAT/SERT. Are those all to be disregarded?
