boom. the lead for MARA's French lobbying claims MARA lied about not wanting to use its Exaion acquisition to mine btc on French nuclear.
France has so much unused power, and its nuclear plants suffer from having to modulate their output lower. but they refuse to allow btc mining. Instead they let a US company mislead them into giving it up. if it hadn't been for persistent counter-lobbying by Gouspillou, Statchenko and others, MARA would have exclusive access to French nuclear. Insane.
France could have a stronger grid, optimized reactor usage, steady revenue and less US interference, but it has so far chosen to steal defeat from the jaws of victory. Will we wake up in time?

latest Nic Carter podcast is a wild ride... apparently there's gonna be a "coup" against Core due to quantum migration, full quote:
"The only way change is actually effectuated is through a coup, that's the only way. Right now there's a bunch of warring tribes [...] someone has to come in and say 'we're in control now'. I don't know who that person or entity is going to be [...]
It will not happen through rough consensus. No amount of posting on the mailing list is going to achieve anything. It will have to be a coup.
There has to be a group of sufficiently influential, economically significant, well-organized actors that gets together and says
'this is what's going to happen, we're hiring these devs, they're going to do this, they're going to write this code, and this is how it's gonna get implemented'" [1]
you have a suitable pq signature algorithm in mind bud? if so, do share.

Today, like every June, students in France sat for the philosophy exam. The two essay questions this year:
- Do we control our words? ("Avons-nous la maîtrise de nos paroles ?")
- Can we be happy when others are not? ("Peut-on être heureux quand les autres ne le sont pas ?")
4 hours. You and the page.
This kind of exercise should be mandatory, in particular in the age of LLMs. It's not about "how smart are you?" or "did you choose the right answer?", but whether you can think coherently and mount your own line of reasoning. A muscle people are going to have to use lest it atrophy.
so it begins.
golden opportunity for the EU to bring back talent:
- offer 3 year income tax exemption and fast track visa for their families,
- access to research grants and fellowships via defense, NGI, NLnet, universities etc
- do it now

I keep hearing that agents are much more effective with statically typed languages, but have seen no evidence that's true.
