Recent Nostr'ing events and seeing the fresh accounts here has made me less grumpy about all the political simping and general noise from the US election season.
The Nostr community is rocking the early bitcoin vibes I miss from those days!

The biggest scam ever sold to people about "democracy" is that you can only vote out a politician by voting another one in.
As long as you believe it is left vs. right, democrats vs. republicans, or the rich vs. the poor, a politician wins. What a racket!

Pro tip: When the comet arrives, be the mammal, not the dinosaur.
Voting is deliberate consent to the outcome, explicitly granting your sanction to the status quo and the system of threats and force against you and others that back it up.
It is difficult to argue against the injustices stemming from the people ruling over you when you have participated in and perpetuated the very thing that gives them oxygen.
