The Charlie Kirk murder provides us a powerful example of the need for NOSTR. Your voice can be extinguished in an instant, whether through the natural course of life or tragedy. Your words, thoughts, perspectives and insights can be controlled and disappeared from centralized platforms in moment. Record your voice. Share your words. Convey your images of the world. Stay decentralized. Be independent. Start a podcast. Record a #vlog. Note your thoughts on #NOSTR. Use #bitcoin. Don’t let them have the power to erase you.

Okay, some shameless self promotion. I have built an online store with the express purpose of growing the marketplace of lightning payment capable businesses. https://zapnomad.com/ It will grow. I’ll get smarter as it goes along and the store will get smarter. And if you are really in the mood to shop, check out https://omg21btc.com/ They have compiled an entire list of Bitcoin friendly merchants to promote the circular economy.

I’m catching up with my podcast playlist that I use to keep me sane during my fiat job. The latest interview with nostr:nprofile1qqs9pk20ctv9srrg9vr354p03v0rrgsqkpggh2u45va77zz4mu5p6ccpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctv9uq3vamnwvaz7tm9v3jkutnwdaehgu3wd3skuep0ku5rv5 on What Bitcoin Did is excellent. Just the history of eCash alone is worth the listen. For Xoomers like me, these discussions continue to help my fight against the fiat paradigms that haunt my brain even when I don’t know it. #bitcoin #hodl

Spent the whole day at work unable to check charts until end of day. Not a single person walked up to me and said “Have you seen bitcoin today?” It means I am surrounded by no-coiners and it’s a sad realization that there is so much work left to do! #bitcoin #hodl

Just a gray rainy day, but it is a soothing sound on a metal roof and it makes the green come to life. image

Howdy Everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ryan and I finally made the jump into the NOSTR world recently. Thanks to all those that have already followed this noob after a just a few posts! I started podcasting back in 2018 because at the time that was the only way to add to conversations about topics I enjoyed. Eventually the push in the podcast market to lean into video and mainstream platforms made it more stressful. Then, the covid scam blacked pilled me a bit and the show has been on hiatus for a few years now. Since then, I finally discovered and embraced Bitcoin, and I've been involved in the development of mobile apps to meant to give the power of information back to the users rather than the algorithm or the mainstream news filters. Thanks to Walker and The Bitcoin Podcast, I discovered NOSTR and decided to give Primal a try. I'm immediately hooked. I see the potential, the opportunity for funding, and the passion and excitement for new development and new conversations. AND a voice! Zaps give the power to users, not to the algo. It's really awesome. Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome so far and I will definitely keep finding new people to follow and engage with. I like to talk about the paranormal, conspiracy (it's all fact these days), social psychology and philosophy, current events, bitcoin (at any hour of the day), and I like a good meme to make me laugh and think. I'm here for it! #introductions #nostr #bitcoin #conspiracytheory #paranormal #nostrnoob

My sister is a bit of an amateur nature photographer. Let’s show her some love with likes and even zaps and I’ll be able to coax her into sending more! She’s definitely better at it than I am. #nature #photography #wildlife image image

Had another funny response today to my typical “buy Bitcoin” recommendation when people start talking finances. I received another “you will be in trouble when EMP….” comment. I asked if he used cash in all of his transaction, to which he of course said no. I still don’t understand the straw man statement of using the dystopian argument of a Bronze Age style collapse. Of course it would be problematic for us, and everyone else, in a digital age. It’s a useless dismissal that is only meant to end the discussion and avoid thinking of anything out of their comfort zone. I suppose there is still a long way to go before we pass early adoption. People get #bitcoin at the price they deserve, as they say. 😏

When the microwave oven was first introduced in the late 1940s, it was a marvel of science that most people didn’t trust. The idea of cooking food with invisible waves sounded strange and even dangerous. Early adopters were wary of radiation exposure, doubtful of its effectiveness, and hesitant to replace traditional cooking methods. Microwaves were expensive, bulky, and unfamiliar. For years, they were seen as a gimmick, not a serious kitchen appliance. But over time, something changed. As the technology improved and prices fell, people slowly embraced the convenience. The microwave didn’t replace the stove. In fact, it redefined how people approached quick, efficient meals. What was once mocked and misunderstood is now found in nearly every kitchen on Earth. Bitcoin faces a similar path today. To many, it’s still viewed as confusing, risky, or even dangerous. Critics call it volatile, unnecessary, or a fad. Like early microwave skeptics, they don’t see the utility. Not yet, anyway. But Bitcoin isn’t trying to replace the traditional financial system overnight. It offers a new way to store and transfer value: permissionless, borderless, and resistant to inflation. History has shown that new technologies often feel threatening before they become indispensable. Just as we can’t imagine a home without a microwave today, the time may come when financial systems that don’t include Bitcoin feel incomplete. #bitcoin
