I still would very much like to see both covenants and cross-input signature aggregation (CISA) on Bitcoin.
Covenants strengthen self-custody. CISA strengthens privacy.
Some measures introduced as "temporary" that still exist today:
• Wartime income taxes
• Payroll tax withholding
• Patriot Act surveillance powers
• Airport security screening
• Government ID requirements
• Countless emergency powers
Temporary measures often become permanent institutions.
How many of today's "temporary" policies do you think will still be around in 50 years?
This is solid, but it should be noted: even if you practice good key hygene, selling forked coins can dox your stash.
Be mindful of that as we approach silly season.
