Backend code feels more approachable to reason about _fully_, because you're likely to own the machines where it runs, too.
Frontend code is an entirely different animal - it will run on thousands of different client devices in all sorts of different connection, resource-availability, interface and user requirement contexts.
For the web, i mean. desktop is a different story.

Claude enabled me to get an idea for an elaborate acoustic-drum-triggered noise machine out of my head and into electronics, firmware and software. i've been dreaming of this custom device for years, but the amount of knowledge i'd have needed in areas i didn't care to develop it was a hurdle.
this month i was able to build an extremely satisfying prototype of it, thanks to agentic ai.
programmers and apps is just the beginning. wait until artists and musicians realize they can probe legitimately new frontiers.
