SECURITY LIGHTING When outdoors at night remember that white light, and especially blue light will destroy night vision for at least 45 minutes. Red light does not effect night vision very much but does not illuminate well. I find that a yellow light illuminates well, does not effect night vision like blue or white light. Added bonus is the yellow light does not attract insects much if at all. I prefer the use of LED lamps for lighting rather than a bright white that is then filtered. In some circles, the Betalight is available for close up night light, map reading, ect... if you know, you know. I have no experience with green or cyan lights. If you can add your experiences with these color, please feel free to do so.
