Achievement Unlocked: Full Redneck The random beans my wife sprouted and then planted are thriving in the basically 2” of dirt we put in this bin. They’re likely packed in a little tight but this has been more an experiment than anything so I’ve just been letting them do theirs thing. I’d been thinking they were a bush bean up until a couple days ago when one popped out a vine. Fast forward to today and it’s trying to reach the ground, so I grabbed a ladder that doesn’t see a lot of use, and finished watering everything. Also put my basil cutting from several weeks ago in dirt as it’s actually made roots and new growth. Came back out just to take a look at things just now (approximately 3 hrs after the ladder and watering) and there’s a second vine, so adjustments were made. #Gardening #BeansBeansGoodForYourHeart #Garden #HomesteadLite #GrowNostr

Gotta cut 3 panels out of this cat walk, make a shelf for the panels to then sit on, and set them back down so they can be removed at will, so the floor below can be properly cleaned, cause it’s nasty. We did some quick and dirty mathemagics and came up with this load being about 4 cubic yards. Good times. Ol Pathfinder didn’t even flinch, just chugged along like always.

Woke up before the wife and youngin, watered the plants, put 4 orange mint starts in dirt, now I’m feeding the youngin. Great way to start a day. From here I go grab the big trailer I share with my buddy, grab my wheelbarrow and rake, head to my mother in laws to move some mulch.
