Aggravation of the day: color matched hardware looks good, but there’s always the chance you won’t be able to it again when you inevitably need another box of it. Case in point, I’ve spent yesterday afternoon and this morning hitting the hardware stores and scouring the internet for the fascia screws I’ve been using on the #HugeDeck, none to be found except one internet store in Indiana, and what they have isn’t even labeled the same as what we’ve been using, so it’s a roll of the dice to even order those. Well, started going through all the wrenches and sockets and all I have laying around…got a bunch of volunteers to make Kustom tooling or “stubby” wrenches if I need to, at least in SAE sizes. Did some measuring and realized what I was planning to use in the truck box for organization is not gonna work, so it’s looking like small boxes and the plethora of cheap tool bags I have laying around. Managed to sneak out and get the truck box mounted to the F250. It’s a freebie my buddy had mounted on his old Tacoma, but it holds things which is what the truck needs right now. Made a little shelf so I can fanangle the thing open and still load 4x8 sheet goods flat on the bed. Ammo cans/tool boxes will like fill in the blank spaces at some point lol. Maybe one day my wife will again understand that the corporations do not provide job security. I’m really tired of having that argument, especially since it’s only become a problem in the last few months. Nevermind the fact I’ve taken basically an entire month off with no negative consequences. No corporate job is gonna pay me as much as I make for my self or give me the flexibility to take a month off.
